From a very early age, I’ve had an interest in entrepreneurship. Raised by parents who opened and operated a restaurant, I had a closeup look into the opportunities and challenges of running a business, and I enjoyed thinking about issues such as operations and cost structures. Personally, my first significant foray into entrepreneurship was while I was completing my undergraduate degree and started a painting business employing a few people.

Since that time, my career took me into accounting and financial roles in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, most recently as the Controller for a non-profit with approximately $20 million in annual revenue. These roles provided an excellent foundation of leadership experience and organizational understanding, but I never lost my desire to own and operate a business. Now, having just completed an MBA, I am seeking to make this a reality.

Besides my professional pursuits, another big piece of who I am is my family. I’m married to my wonderful wife Kristin, with whom I recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. This past March, we were blessed with the arrival our daughter Annalise.
